Chocolate Wedding Cakes

Here is my Wedding cake in 1985. It's chocolate. No not just the cake but the cake and the frosting. Back in 1985 it was unheard of to have chocolate frosting. When I told the baker that I wanted chocolate frosting they couldn't believe it.
They called back 3 times to make sure the order was really for chocolate frosting. The frosting was a light chocolate. I think the bakery just couldn't really go all out and make it too chocolatey. Hey I was just ahead of my time. Now days chocolate wedding cakes are all the rage. Check out the photos below.

Reflections of Christ

This is a link to an amazing video. You won't be sorry you took the time to look at it. The music is a beautiful version of Thou Fount of every Blessing. The video is a compilation of pictures put to music.

The pictures are currently on display at the Mesa Arizona Temple. Absolutely AMAZING!!

We asked and this is not yet available to purchase. But when and if it is I am first in line.

I'm so excited New York here I come!

I leave for my Trip to New York in two weeks from today!

Lucky me I get to go see Wicked on Broadway. I am so excited for my girls trip. It has been so nice to have something to look forward to. I think sometimes planning a trip and the excitement is half the fun.

I will have a lot of blogs and pictures to share when I get back.

McKinsey and her special love for animals

Kinsey loves animals. She has the biggest heart. If we would let her she would have 10 dogs, 10 cats,10 bunnies, 10 lizards and 10 of every other animal. Ok maybe more.

Kinsey and I watched Oprah the other day. It was a show on puppy mills. It was so sad how these animals are treated. This really touched McKinsey and so she wanted to do something to help. She first tried to talk us in to rescuing a dog from the animal shelter. We said no. Last week she adopted a bunny and she already has a dog (Tova-he's in the picture with Kinsey). We felt like that was enough animals for her to take care of right now.

Kinsey still wanted to do something. Yesterday after school she and a friend went to the animal shelter and volunteered. They walked and bathed every dog and played with the cats. She worked there for at least 5 hours.

I am proud of you Kinsey for trying to make a difference and for having such a big heart. Love ya

Soccer

Soccer is a big sport in Mexico and I think Aaron has caught the bug. These are missionaries serving Mexico and P-Days are spent playing soccer most of the time. Exercise is always good.

Neil is hoping when Aaron comes home from his mission he still like baseball.
